Take Back the Night

  • TBTN 2009 is scheduled for October 8 (it's a Thursday this year) at 7 p.m. in the large Prairie Room of the ISU Bone Student Center.
  • Take Back the Night is an event dedicated to giving women and men the right to walk safely alone at  night. The event includes an empowerment rally, a march through the campus community, and safe spaces to discuss following the march.
  • Everyone is welcome, and there is no cost for attending this event.

The Clothesline Project

  • The Clothesline Project will be held this semester the same day as TBTN, October 8, all day on the quad.
  • The Clothesline Project is a collection of shirts made by survivors or friends of victims of sexual assault or domestic violence in the Bloomington-Normal and ISU communities.
  • On days where the clothesline is displayed, it is hung throughout campus to give a visual display of airing out the dirty laundry of the silence surrounding assault.

The Vagina Monologues

  • This production is held every year in February. Check back for more information regarding auditions!

It Affects Me Week

  • This weeklong campaign is held every April to coincide with Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Check back in the Spring for more details!
